THE BARN

 

The barn has an open plan area with cosy lounge with log burner and well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. There is a 2 seater recliner sofa for relaxing after a hard days exploring the Welsh countryside, plus a large TV with freeview and DVD player (we have a DVD library list, these are available to watch free of charge during your stay, so just request which ones you would like left in the barn). Separate bedroom with comfy king size bed, cotton bed linen, thick curtains and blinds ensuring a good nights sleep and oak furniture. Large bathroom with double walk in shower cubicle with power shower, 100% cotton bath sheets, hand towels and flannels are also provided. The space is light and airy with original exposed beams in the living area. There is free secure parking on site, and full use of the outdoor space, which consists of a sunny courtyard and large grassed area. Outdoor chairs are provided for your use. We also have a lockable bike shed which can easily take 2 adult bikes or other outdoor equipment, for use during your stay. There is a gas boiler in the hallway which supplies hot water and central heating throughout the barn.

THE AREA
 

On the doorstep to the Brecon Beacons National Park, Dinefwr National Trust Nature Reserve, Dinefwr Castle, Carreg Cennan Castle, Llyn Llech Owain Country Park, Red Kite feeding station at Llangadog, to name just a few.

 

The coast is within easy reach for a day out on the beach, travel time is between 45 minutes to an hour depending on where you're heading. Or stay a bit closer to home and follow the 13 mile Millennium Coastal Path which runs from Bury Port harbour to Llanelli, great for walkers and cyclists alike.

Also just up the road you'll fine Swansea Marina, Carmarthen, and the picturesque market town of Llandeilo with its quaint independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Visit the bandstand in Llandeilo and admire the stunning views over the town and Towy Valley

With the Brecon Beacons on the door step, it truly is a walkers paradise. With miles and miles of open countryside to explore.

Climb the peaks of the Black Mountain, discover the amazing lakes below, complete the Four Waterfalls Walk and visit the spectacular Henrhyd Falls, the tallest waterfall in South Wales with a drop 90 feet. Just a few of the amazing things the Brecon Beacons has to offer.

 

Admire all the stunning views and wildlife on your trails, and a great favourite with keen photographers.
